Heidi's Chalets
In 1964, the first chalet was built by Bernard and his wife Germaine, based on plans for a small holiday chalet called a "bungalow." These plans were drawn up by the parish priest, Father Guyot, who envisioned developing tourism in the upper part of the Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe commune. The inhabitants subsisted on small-scale farming, so chalet rentals were going to be essential in what would become a family ski resort in Savoie. Just 350 meters from the chalets, the Mont-Rond ski lift, begun in 1957, had recently been completed. + more info
Subsequently, 4 small chalets were built, the last one in 1974. Regularly maintained to meet the evolving needs of holidaymakers, they underwent their last major renovation between 2018 and 2021 (bathrooms, exterior insulation and roof).
Renting chalets in Savoie is a family business with a genuine tradition of simple hospitality. From 1964 to 1990, the business was run by the parents, and since 1990 by their son Laurent and his wife Laurence. The adventure continues in 2021 with their daughter Lucie Heidi, naturally giving rise to the name "Les Chalets d'Heidi" and the creation of the company Sarl BerGer, in honor of the parents Bernard and Germaine.
Chalet Lachat
In 1980, on the hills above Notre-Dame de Bellecombe, the Lachat housing development was created, where around forty chalets and small residences would be built. In 1984, the two paternal uncles, Henri (a farmer and ski instructor) and Jean (a driver, taxi driver, and manager of a small transport company), decided to build Chalet Lachat. This chalet, containing two apartments, was offered for tourist rental until 2018, the year of Uncle Henri's death, and 2019, the year of Uncle Jean's death.
The nephew Laurent and his wife initially tried to sell it, but faced with a lack of buyers, decided to offer it for tourist rental. In 2021, they and their son Aloïs created the limited liability company JenRi, in memory of their uncles Jean and Henri. Numerous development and renovation works have been carried out since then.
The Favrays Farm
Maryse, the daughter of Bernard and Germaine, created and opened the Pizzeria Chez Maryse in December 1980, in the Lachat housing estate.
In 1995, with the help of Bernard and Henri, she partially renovated what would become "La Ferme des Favrays". Originally a mountain farmhouse, it became a country house and was renovated in 1995 in the style of cozy mountain chalets, comprising two ground-floor apartments. It is located 600 meters from the start of the Espace Diamant ski slopes, in the area known as "Les Favrays".
The Georgeries Farm
Max, the third child, decided in the early 2000s, after ending his career as a top-level skier, to renovate the family farm. After completely dismantling the building and brushing off any salvageable wood, he had a concrete structure built and clad it in wood to give it the appearance of the region's old farmhouses. The first apartments were completed in 2006 and also offered for tourist rental. Today, he and his wife, Magali, manage five apartments.
